Lake Lure is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The lake covers over 700 acres with more than 20 miles of shoreline. Lake Lure was selected by National Geographic as one of the Ten Most Spectacular man-made lakes in the World. The Rocky Broad River is a series of rapids flowing down through Hickory Nut Gorge, feeding into Lake Lure. Lake Lure is located 14 miles east of Hendersonville.
