The Charles Dickens’ perennial classic, A Christmas Carol comes to life on the Flat Rock Playhouse stage in a spectacular new production featuring all the classic elements with a few new twists. Historic Courthouse on Main Street

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Historic Courthouse kicks-off the holiday season in Historic Downtown Hendersonville. Featuring storytelling and entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus. For more information (828) 233-3216.

WNC Agricultural Center Fairgrounds / Dusk-10pm Every Night

Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site
November 29 & December 27

Celebrate Christmas as the Sandburgs did with traditional decorations and holiday music. The Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site presents a keen insight into the life and works of American author and poet Carl Sandburg. Music and storytelling from 10:30am-12:30pm in the garage adjacent to the Sandburg Home, refreshments, holiday craft-making from 10am-1pm. For information, call (828) 693-4178.

FLAT ROCK PLAYHOUSE DOWNTOWN presents Music on the Rock: A Motown Christmas
December 12 - 22
Wed-Sat 8:00pm / Thurs, Sat & Sun 2:00pm
Originally released in 1973, A Motown Christmas featured performance by Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, the Temptations and Smokey Robinson & the Miracles. These unique arrangements of beloved Christmas classics like “Silent Night” and “White Christmas” featured harmonies that epitomized the Motown sound. The Holiday Tour of Historic Inns and Cookie Caper is a self-guided tour of 7 inns & the Cookie Caper part of the tour is a Christmas treat from each inn, (1898 Waverly Inn, Aunt Adeline's, Claddagh Inn, Elizabeth Leigh Inn, Inn on Church, Pinebrook Manor & Echo Mountain Inn).
