The 19th Annual Garden Jubilee Festival is a spectacular two day festival, held on Saturday, May 26 & Sunday, May 27 of Memorial Day weekend. Gardening is one of America's favorite pastimes and the mountains provide a healthy environment for growing a vast variety of flowers and plants. Garden Jubilee is the ideal festival for passionate gardeners searching for the perfect plants and unique lawn & garden accessories and arts & crafts. This is a great opportunity for beginner gardeners to speak with the experts at the garden clinics and gather tips and advice. Bring wagon or cart to make transporting your plants easier.
Garden Jubilee covers 8 blocks of Main Street with over 200 vendors selling handmade arts and crafts, plants and items to enhance your outdoor living area. Local and regional nurseries will be selling 1000's of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and hard to find plants on every block of the festival. A great way to enhance the beauty of a garden is to add ornamentation. There will also be delicious food to satisfy any appetite in the food court, located between Barnwell & Caswell Streets.
Located at the Visitors Information Center, 201 South Main Street the Lowe's Expo will offer garden clinics, plant sale, a hands-on kids clinic, beautiful yard displays and outdoor equipment. Nationally known lawn and garden product specialists will be giving one-on-one advice. If you have a question or need advice about your garden or lawn, you've come to the right place. A series of free lectures is presented throughout the 2 day show by a garden expert and national lawn & garden representatives. Product representatives from Stay Green, Scotts, Miracle-Gro, Ortho, Roundup, Sevin, Spectracide, Cutter, Pennington Lawn & Garden Products, and Hot Shot will be available in their tents giving out free samples and helpful tips. The Lowe's Kids Clinic located at the Visitors Information Center will offer free fun hands-on projects for children ages 4-12.
Southern Living Magazine's landscape & garden specialist Bill Slack will be returning by popular demand to Garden Jubilee in the Lowe's lawn and garden tent located at the Visitors Information Center. Bill Slack has been a landscape and gardening specialist with Southern Living Magazine for 19 years and is making his 10th appearance at Garden Jubilee.
